Mission

Loving God, Loving Others... Together

We're a group of people who focus on loving God with our whole selves, and genuinely loving the people around us! Simple as it sounds, we believe it has the power to change people, relationships and our community.  You might recognize it from Jesus' words:

"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:30-31).

Our Doctrinal Approach

Historically Christian churches have avoided using creeds as tests of fellowship and focused on the simple confession that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. We affirm this traditional Christian Church slogan:

In the essentials, Unity

Ephesians 4:4-6

In the non-essentials, Liberty

Romans 14:1-22

In all things, Love

1 Corinthians 13:2

Our Essentials

1

God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the Universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

Genesis 1:1,26-27;

Genesis 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2

2

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became man to die for the sins of the whole world. He was raised from the dead and ascended back to heaven; He is coming again.

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

3

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make me aware of the need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian, providing power for doing what is right. He gives Christians spiritual gifts and is the source of spiritual fruit in our lives.

John 16:7-15, Galatians 5:25

4

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the only authority for our faith (what we believe) and practice (how we are to live).

2 Timothy 3:16

5

Mankind

People are made in the image of God and have worth as a creation of God, but "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."

Romans 3:23

6

Salvation

Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior. Those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess Jesus as Lord, and be baptized into Him.

John 3:16, Romans 10:9,

Acts 2:38
